St Albans, Hertfordshire
£16.25–£16.85 per hour
£32,955–£34,171 basic + sleep-ins
£62.64 per sleep-in | 4–8 per month
Potential earnings: £35,955–£40,171
Full-time, Permanent | Long days & sleep-ins

We are recruiting an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker to join a 4-bed Ofsted-rated Good children’s home providing therapeutic, child-centred care.

As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will:

• Build positive relationships with children and young people.
• Provide daily care, routines, activities and emotional support.
• Lead shifts and support other Residential Support Workers.
• Support young people with emotional and behavioural needs.
• Contribute to care plans, risk assessments and behaviour plans.
• Maintain accurate records and incident reports.
• Promote safeguarding and child protection.
• Work with managers, social workers and other professionals.
• Help maintain a safe, consistent and nurturing home.

About You

• 12+ months’ experience working with children and young people.
• Level 3 Residential Childcare / Caring for Children & Young People qualification.
• Experience with therapeutic and child-centred approaches.
• Confident supporting emotional and behavioural difficulties.
• Able to lead and support a residential care team.
• Strong communication and record-keeping skills.
• Flexible for long days, weekends and sleep-ins.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Existing Right to Work in the UK — sponsorship unavailable.
