Job Description:

Protocol Education are currently recruiting for a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a friendly primary school in Abbots Langley.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with children and wants to play an important role in supporting pupils throughout their primary education.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside the class teacher to provide high-quality support to pupils and help create a positive and engaging learning environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting pupils in the classroom and during learning activities
• Providing 1:1 and small-group support where required
• Helping children stay focused, engaged and motivated
• Supporting pupils with their academic, social and emotional development
• Assisting the class teacher with classroom activities and preparation
• Encouraging positive behaviour and independence
• Creating positive relationships with pupils and staff

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience working with children or within a school setting
• Is enthusiastic, patient and nurturing
• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Is confident working with pupils of different abilities
• Can work effectively as part of a team
• Is passionate about helping children achieve their potential
• Has a genuine interest in developing a career within education

Teaching Assistant qualifications or relevant school experience are desirable, but we are also keen to hear from enthusiastic candidates with transferable experience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
