Job Description:

Academics are actively seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a charming village school as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or experienced teaching assistant to develop their experience within education.

Role: Graduate Teaching Assistant

School Location: Abbots Langley

Contract: Permanent

A graduate with a degree graded 2:1 or above is ideal for this Teaching Assistant role or a graduate with some previous experience working with children is desirable. This relevant previous experience could include childcare, tutoring, nursery assistance, in a sport setting, charity or in a similar classroom setting.

In your second year as a Teaching Assistant, you will have the opportunity to apply for schools direct teacher training and gain your QTS.

Hours of employment

Monday to Friday

08:30 to 15:25

This Teaching Assistant role will include 1:1 work with a child with ASD, perfect for candidates with previous experience working with Special Needs children. This school are looking for committed and bright graduates who are passionate about their input into a child's education to join as a Teaching Assistant. The graduate appointed will be supporting a child across Key stage one / two.

A graduate with a strong educational background is required for this Graduate Teaching Assistant role including GCSE's in Maths and English (C or above).

This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate to expand their classroom experience prior to undertaking their teaching training and becoming a fully qualified classroom teacher.
