Primary Teacher – KS2 – Hertfordshire

Location: Hertfordshire
Salary: £40,372–£59,864 per annum (M1–UPS3), dependent on experience and qualifications
Contract: Full-time, Long-term Temporary
Start: September 2026 – immediate/as soon as possible

Teach Now is seeking an engaging KS2 Teacher for a long-term primary opportunity in Hertfordshire.

The school is looking for a teacher who can combine strong academic expectations with an encouraging classroom culture, helping pupils become increasingly confident and independent as they progress through Key Stage 2.

The role

• Plan and teach engaging lessons across the KS2 curriculum.
  
• Build pupils' confidence in English, maths and the wider curriculum.
  
• Monitor attainment and use assessment to inform future teaching.
  
• Differentiate effectively for pupils of varying abilities.
  
• Maintain a calm, purposeful and positive classroom.
  
• Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and school colleagues.
  

Requirements

• UK Qualified Teacher Status.
  
• Recent primary teaching or strong KS2 placement experience.
  
• Secure knowledge of the KS2 curriculum.
  
• Effective behaviour and classroom management.
  
• High expectations for pupil progress and achievement.
  

Experienced teachers and ECTs with strong KS2 experience are welcome to apply.
