Warehouse & Despatch Operative
£34,000 – £36,000 per annum | Little Barford, | Monday–Friday, 7.00am–4.45pm

We’re looking for a Warehouse & Despatch Operative to join our team. This is a hands-on role at the heart of our operation, helping make sure our products are received, stored, picked, packed, and despatched to the highest standard.

What will you be doing?

Working closely with our Despatch & Warehouse Team Leader, you’ll play an important role in keeping our warehouse and despatch operation running smoothly.

• Packing products to our high presentation standards, ensuring everything leaves site looking professional and ready for the customer.
• Checking paperwork, labels, quantities and packaging to make sure orders are right first time.
• Receiving incoming goods and checking quantities and condition against delivery documentation.
• Reporting shortages, damage or discrepancies promptly.
• Keeping stock organised, correctly labelled and easy to find.
• Supporting the ongoing improvement of our warehouse environment as we complete our current refurbishment.
• Working flexibly across Goods In, picking, packing, inventory and despatch depending on what the business needs.

You’ll be someone who:

• Has a genuine can-do attitude and isn’t afraid to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in.
• Has excellent attention to detail and understands that small mistakes can have a big impact.
• Wants to own their role, make a difference and continually improve how things are done.
• Has experience working within a warehouse, stores, despatch or stock control environment and is comfortable using stock or inventory management systems.
• Understands the day-to-day demands of a warehouse operation, including the importance of health and safety, organisation and working efficiently as part of a team.
• Ideally holds a forklift licence, although this isn't essential. We're happy to provide training for the right person who brings the right attitude and willingness to learn.
