Supply Teaching Assistant – Primary

Location: Hertfordshire
Salary: £90–£100 per day, dependent on experience and qualifications
Contract: Part-time / Flexible, Temporary
Start: 20 September 2026

Teach Now is seeking experienced Teaching Assistants for daily and short-term assignments across primary schools in Hertfordshire.

Assignments can include general classroom support, small-group work, 1:1 support and helping pupils with additional or SEN needs.

Responsibilities

• Support learning across EYFS, KS1 or KS2.
  
• Work with individuals and small groups.
  
• Assist teachers with classroom activities and resources.
  
• Encourage positive behaviour and pupil engagement.
  
• Provide additional support to pupils who may be struggling academically or socially.
  

We would like to hear from candidates with

• Previous school, nursery or child-support experience.
  
• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable.
  
• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
  
• A patient, dependable and proactive approach.
  
• SEN experience is particularly welcomed.
