Salary: £39,600 per annum (£15.88 per hour including shift allowance)
Shift Pattern: Rotating Days & Nights – 4 on 3 off
Hours: Monday–Thursday, 6:00am–6:00pm / 6:00pm–6:00am

The Role – Packaging Operator

As a Packaging Operator, you'll play a key role in ensuring the packaging operation runs safely, efficiently and consistently throughout your shift.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Operating automated and semi-automated packaging machinery.

• Setting up equipment and supporting line changeovers.

• Loading packaging materials and components to maintain continuous production.

• Monitoring machinery and packaging processes throughout the shift.

• Carrying out quality and process checks in line with company procedures.

• Completing production records and documentation accurately.

• Identifying basic machinery issues and escalating faults when required.

• Helping to minimise downtime, waste and production losses.

• Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards across the packaging area.

• Following all Health & Safety, quality and operational procedures.

• Working as part of a team to achieve production targets and KPIs.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• Previous experience within a manufacturing, production or packaging environment.

• Experience operating automated or semi-automated machinery.

• A hands-on approach with good attention to detail.

• Ability to follow procedures and maintain high standards of quality and safety.

• Flexibility to work rotating days and nights.

Desirable:

• Experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Experience operating modern automated packaging equipment.

• Previous experience working towards production targets and KPIs.
