About the Role
A successful construction business needs more than effective administration it needs someone who can bring organisation, consistency and structure to a busy working environment.
As Office Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth day-to-day operation of the head office, working closely with the COO and providing support across the wider business. You’ll play a key role in connecting head office with construction sites, senior management and external contacts, ensuring information is communicated clearly and important actions, records and deadlines are kept on track.
This is a hands-on position where you’ll have the opportunity to take ownership, improve processes and make a genuine difference to the way the business operates.

Key Responsibilities
As Office Manager, your duties will include:
- Managing the day-to-day running of the head office, including facilities, suppliers, equipment, correspondence and administrative systems.
- Providing direct support to the COO, including preparing reports, spreadsheets and presentations, maintaining action trackers, organising management meetings and following up on key operational tasks.
- Coordinating documentation and information between head office and construction sites, ensuring project, employee, supplier and subcontractor records remain accurate and up to date.
- Managing health and safety administration, including fire safety, first aid arrangements, workplace inspections, staff inductions, equipment servicing schedules and relevant compliance documentation.
- Maintaining strong document control and assisting with company policies, ISO requirements, audits, pre-qualification procedures and wider operational compliance.
- Supporting other business functions including HR, finance and procurement, with responsibilities such as employee onboarding, training records, purchase orders, invoices, expenses and supplier documentation.
About You
We’re looking for an organised and proactive individual who can confidently manage a varied workload and keep multiple priorities moving.
You’ll ideally have:
- Previous experience in office management, administration, operations administration or a similar role.
- Strong organisational and administrative abilities, including good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- The ability to manage competing priorities, maintain accurate records and meet important deadlines.
- Experience dealing with administrative and compliance documentation, including the ability to manage confidential information professionally.
- Previous experience within the construction industry would be an advantage, particularly exposure to site administration, document control, ISO procedures, audits or project management systems.
- Experience supporting senior management and/or coordinating areas such as workplace health and safety, fire safety, first aid or other compliance activities would also be beneficial.
