Functional / Disability Assessor (WCA)
Swap shift work for a 9–5 — and get paid more for using the clinical skills you already have.

Salary: £50,000 starting salary (pathway-dependent) + guaranteed uplifts + bonuses

Location: 66 Bancroft, Hitchin, Hertfordshire, SG5 1LL — office-based during training, 50/50 hybrid after

Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm. No nights. No weekends. No on-call.

What You'll Be Doing

• Conducting face-to-face, phone, or video consultations with people living with a wide range of physical and mental health conditions
• Reviewing medical evidence and applying your clinical judgement to assess functional capacity
• Writing clear, objective, evidence-based reports
• Bringing empathy and professionalism to every interaction, with the highest standards of confidentiality

Plus:

• 5% one-off bonus on approval
• Up to 10% annual performance bonus, paid quarterly

Who We're Looking For

• Active NMC, HCPC, or GPhC registration — Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Paramedic, or Pharmacist
• Minimum 1 year post-qualification clinical experience (adult experience, as you'll assess ages 16–65)
• Strong communication, listening, and analytical skills, plus confident report writing and IT use
• Full Right to Work in the UK required (sponsorship not available)
