Facilities Coordinator – About the Company

Our client is a successful and growing organisation looking to recruit a Facilities Coordinator to join their team in Hatfield.

Working closely with the Facilities Manager / Health & Safety Officer, this role will provide day-to-day support across workplace facilities, health & safety, supplier coordination and general office operations.

This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone with previous facilities and H&S experience who is organised, proactive and confident identifying risks, maintaining compliance and improving workplace processes.

Facilities Coordinator – Details

• Office based role in Hatfield

• Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

• Salary £30,000 - £32,000 per annum

Facilities Coordinator – Responsibilities

• Support the Facilities Manager with the day-to-day running of workplace facilities

• Act as a point of contact for colleagues, visitors, contractors and suppliers

• Support reception activities including visitor management and incoming calls

• Carry out regular workplace checks and identify facilities, maintenance and H&S issues

• Support risk assessments, including reviews, updates and associated actions

• Assist with health & safety audits, inspections and compliance records

• Support fire safety processes, workplace checks and compliance requirements

• Coordinate maintenance requests, contractor visits and facilities-related actions

• Support supplier management including cleaning, maintenance and workplace services

• Maintain accurate facilities records, compliance documents and supplier information

• Coordinate facilities supplies, purchase requests and invoice administration

• Support office moves, meeting room preparation and workplace projects

• Review and improve facilities processes to support a safe and efficient workplace
  
  

Facilities Coordinator – What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in a facilities, workplace or H&S-focused role

• Practical understanding of health & safety processes, including risk assessments and workplace inspections

• Able to identify risks and issues when walking around a workplace and take appropriate action

• Experience managing, reviewing or contributing to risk assessments

• Experience managing facilities, contractors, suppliers or workplace services

• Experience improving or reviewing processes, with examples of positive change

• Confident communicating with colleagues, visitors, suppliers and contractors

• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail

• Proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities

• Good administrative skills including record keeping and document control

• Comfortable working in a hands-on role across facilities and workplace operations

• Good IT skills including Microsoft Office

• Positive, reliable and solution-focused approach
  
  

Desirable:

• Experience within a warehouse, manufacturing, logistics or operational environment

• IOSH, NEBOSH or facilities-related qualification
