The Role

We are currently recruiting for a Temporary Customer Service Advisor to join our client’s team in Stevenage.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous office experience who enjoys dealing with customers and is confident using computer systems. The role will involve providing a high standard of customer service, handling customer enquiries and completing general administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Responding to customer enquiries by telephone and email
• Providing friendly and professional customer service
• Handling and resolving customer queries where possible
• Processing customer orders
• Updating and maintaining accurate customer records
• Completing general administration and data entry
• Using Microsoft Office programmes and other computer systems
• Ensuring all customer information is recorded accurately
• Supporting the wider team with day-to-day administrative tasks
• Working some weekends as required on a rotational basis (with a day off in the week)

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Previous office or administration experience
• Experience dealing with customers, preferably over the telephone
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A confident and professional telephone manner
• Good computer skills and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• A positive, reliable and flexible approach to work
• The ability to learn new systems and processes quickly

Important Contract Information

These are temporary positions, with contracts expected to start within the next few weeks and continue through to Christmas.

Please only apply if you are able to commit to the full length of the contract, including the requirement for some weekend working.

Pay rate: £13.00–£13.50 per hour, depending on experience.
