Contract Quality Engineer – Immediate Start

Location: Luton, Onsite – 5 Days Per Week

Duration: 3 Months

Rate: £30.00–£40.00 per hour depending on experience   (Outside IR35)

We are urgently seeking an experienced Contract Quality Engineer to join a leading aerospace/manufacturing business on an initial 3-month contract.

This role requires someone with proven experience completing FAIRs (AS9102) and working within an AS9100 environment. You will play a key role in ensuring product quality, supplier performance, and compliance with customer and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities for the appointed Contract Quality Engineer;

• Complete FAIRs (AS9102) and support PPAP (AS9145) activities.
• Conduct internal and supplier audits in line with the Quality Management System.
• Lead root cause investigations using 8D methodologies.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to meet AS9100, NADCAP, and customer requirements.
• Manage supplier quality approvals, FAIR/PPAP submissions, and performance.
• Analyse quality KPIs and implement improvement actions.
• Ensure product compliance throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.

The selected Contract Quality Engineer will need to meet the following requirements;

• Proven background as a Quality Engineer within aerospace or precision manufacturing.
• Strong experience completing FAIRs (AS9102).
• Knowledge of AS9100, PPAP, APQP
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using 8D.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
