CNC Turner - Fixed Head or Sliding Head
Monday to Thursday: 8:00am - 4:30pm | Friday: 8:00am - 3:30pm

Are you an experienced CNC Turner looking for your next opportunity? Whether your background is in Fixed Head or Sliding Head turning, we'd like to hear from you.

We're recruiting for a well-established precision engineering company that operates a clean, modern machine shop with state-of-the-art CNC machinery. The business produces medium-volume batches of high-precision components and is happy to consider experienced machinists from either Fixed Head or Sliding Head backgrounds, with training available where required.

The Role
As part of a friendly manufacturing team, you'll be responsible for producing quality components to production schedules while maintaining high machining standards throughout.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Setting and operating CNC turning centres.
• Programming CNC machines where experience allows.
• Working on Miyano (Fixed Head) or Star (Sliding Head) machines, or similar CNC turning centres.
• Using Fanuc controls or similar control systems.
• Inspecting components using measuring equipment.
• Reading and working from engineering drawings.
• Maintaining quality standards throughout production.

What We're Looking For
We're keen to speak to candidates with experience in either:

CNC Fixed Head Turning
CNC Sliding Head Turning
You don't need experience on both machine types, as training can be provided for the right candidate.

You'll ideally have:

• Experience setting and operating CNC turning centres.
• Programming experience (advantageous but not essential).
• Confidence using measuring equipment.
• The ability to read engineering drawings.
• A positive, flexible attitude and enjoy working within a small, supportive team.
