Job Title: Brokerage Placement Assistant 

Location: Choice of three locations Priory House, Bedfordshire; Gemini House, Cambridgeshire or The Forum, Hemel Hempstead

Trust: NHS Hertfordshire & West Essex ICB

Payrate: Band 4, £15.25 per hour

Shift Patterns: Monday- Friday 9am - 5pm (37.5 hours per week)

Duration: Start: ASAP End date: 3 months with possible extension

Job Description

We are looking for a confident, organised and proactive Brokerage Placement Assistant to join our team on a temporary placement, supporting the coordination and administration of care placements.

This is a varied role where you’ll work with a wide range of stakeholders, helping to ensure that individuals receive the appropriate care and support while also assisting with the financial and administrative processes behind each placement.

What you’ll be responsible for:

• Communicating professionally with a wide range of stakeholders, including care providers, hospitals, medical professionals, patients and their families.
• Supporting the identification and coordination of suitable care placements.
• Assisting with cost negotiations with care providers.
• Managing and maintaining accurate funding administration and associated records.
• Handling sensitive and sometimes complex conversations with confidence and professionalism.
• Communicating assertively and effectively, while maintaining positive working relationships.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues and external partners to help achieve positive outcomes for individuals.

You’ll have the following skills/experience:

• Assertive and professional, with the ability to have clear and sometimes challenging conversations.
• Organised, methodical and able to manage competing priorities.
• Comfortable working with financial information and administrative processes.
• Able to build positive relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
• Compassionate and professional when dealing with patients and their families.
• Proactive, reliable and able to work effectively as part of a team.

This role may require you to show evidence of vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years relevant experience.
